Hi, I’m Kristin Velasquez, mom of three and founder of The Gathering Palm. As a mom, I dreamed of a place where I could get away from the Florida heat and enjoy a relaxing coffee while my kids played safely, creatively, and joyfully—a space that felt calm, beautiful, and community-centered. That dream has become The Gathering Palm, St. Augustine’s newest upscale children’s play café, thoughtfully designed with families in mind.

At The Gathering Palm, we believe play is essential to childhood. Our coastal-inspired, calming environment invites children ages 0–8 (older siblings welcome) to explore, imagine, and learn through open-ended, age-appropriate activities that foster cognitive, emotional, and social growth. From sensory play and imaginative spaces to our unique coastal café play structure with a slide and ball pit, every corner is designed to bring joy and spark creativity.

While your little ones giggle and grow, you can unwind in our, light-filled café. We’ve created a comfortable, coastal space where you can savor coffee, teas, and light bites, enjoying a moment to breathe and connect with other parents in our welcoming community.

Safety and cleanliness are top priorities. We follow rigorous cleaning protocols and maintain the highest hygiene standards so you can relax while your children explore.

More than a play café, it’s a community hub. From art classes and seasonal celebrations to movie nights and family gatherings, The Gathering Palm is designed to help families create joyful memories together while supporting parents in this season of life.
